Partners

JUDr. Milan Malata – founding managing partner, advocate

JUDr. Milan Malata graduated from the Faculty of Law of the University of Pavol Jozef Šafárik in Košice. After finishing his studies he worked as an associate for the law firm Grauzlová, Jóža & partners, where he gained significant experience in the area of commercial law and economic law, in performance of due diligence and in the area of M&A. He was awarded with his law doctorate in commercial law and economic law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Pavol Jozef Šafárik in Košice. In 2004 he successfully passed his bar exam and was registered as an advocate in the register of Slovak Bar Association under the number 3684. In 2006 he and his partners established the law firm Malata, Pružinský, Hegedűš & partners.

Within his legal practice he focuses on commercial and economic law, corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, antimonopoly law, insolvency and restructuring, legal relations in real estate, telecommunication and energy sector and recovery of debts. He has gained significant experience in the area of exercise of clients’ rights in major bankruptcy and debt recoveries in Slovakia

JUDr. Róbert Pružinský – founding partner, advocate

JUDr. Róbert Pružinský graduated from the Faculty of Law of the University of Pavol Jozef Šafárik in Košice. After finishing his studies he worked as an associate for the law firm Barbuš, Barušová, where he gained significant experience in the area of commercial and labour law by providing services to the corporate clients as well as in the area of dispute resolution. In 2004 he successfully passed his bar exams and was registered as an advocate in the register of the Slovak Bar Association under the number 3870. In 2006 he and his partners established the law firm Malata, Pružinský, Hegedűš & partners. In 2007 he was awarded his law doctorate at the Police Academy in Bratislava. Since 2008 he has been providing legal services as European advocate in the Czech Republic.

In his practice he focuses on commercial law and specializes in banking law, telecommunication/IT law, public procurement law, legal relations in the area of real estates, healthcare and pharmaceutical industry, and in the area of educational system of universities. He has gained significant experience in representing the clients in the court proceedings and arbitration court proceedings in the latter mentioned fields of his professional legal practice. Within his legal practice he has cooperated with the VERLAG DASHÖFER Publishing House and has published in international literature in the area of arbitration court proceedings (Global Arbitration Review).

In addition to the Slovak language he provides legal services in the English and Czech language.

JUDr. Vincent Hegedűš – founding partner, advocate

Advocates

Mgr. Rudolf Bartošík

Mgr. Rudolf Bartošík graduated from the Faculty of Law of the Masaryk University in Brno. After finishing his studies in 2007 he worked as a company lawyer. Since 2009 he has worked as an associate in the JUDr. Róbert Pružinský law firm in Brěclav, where he provides general legal services. He specializes in private law, especially in the law of obligations and law of bills.

He focuses on the study of relations in international business under the Vienna Convention and Lex mercatoria mainly with respect to the issue of contract breach regulation and its consequences, assessment of the intensity of the breach and the resulting claims, their mutual competition, and also the relationships of certain claims to the right of compensation.

He provides legal services in the German language as well.

JUDr. Martin Landl

JUDr. Martin Landl graduated from the Faculty of Law of the University of Pavol Jozef Šafárik in Košice. After finishing his studies he worked as an associate for JUDr. Róbert Pružinský, advocate. He has been working for the law firm Malata, Pružinský, Hegedűš & partners since its establishment. He completed his dissertation work in Commercial law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Pavol Jozef Šafárik in Košice, where he was awarded his law doctorate. In 2009 he passed his bar exams and he was registered as an advocate in the register of Slovak Bar Association under the number 5024.

In his legal practise he focuses on commercial and economic law, medical law and financing and dispute resolution. He has gained significant experience in representation of clients in court and administrative proceedings, law of contracts, performance of due diligence and customer protection. Since 2010 he is a head of the branch office of Malata, Pružinský, Hegedűš & partners law firm in Lučenec.

In addition to the Slovak language he provides legal services in the English language as well.

Mgr. Lucia Prazňáková

Mgr. Lucia Prazňáková graduated from the Faculty of Law of the Comenius University in Bratislava. After finishing her studies she worked as an associate for Weinhold Legal, v.o.s., branch office Bratislava, where she gained significant experience by providing legal services to international clients. She has been working for the law firm Malata, Pružinský, Hegedűš & partners since 2009. In 2011 she successfully passed her bar exams and she was registered in the register of the Slovak Bar Association as an advocate. In 2011 she was also registered in the list of experts, interpreters and translators kept by the Ministry of Justice of the Slovak Republic as an official translator from/into English language.

In her legal practice she focuses on providing legal services in the area of corporate law including M&A, contractual law and insolvency law both to domestic and foreign clients. During her practice she has participated at extensive legal audits (due diligence) of leading companies from different fields of business including banking, automotive industry, telecommunication and energy sector. She advises regularly at establishing business in Slovakia by foreign investors including further provision of the post-incorporation corporate legal services. During her practice she has also gained significant experience in the area of competition law, telecommunication law, pharmaceutical law, real estate law and labour law including both individual and trade union matters.

She provides legal services in Slovak and English language. She speaks French at an intermediate level.

Mgr. Jana Alušíková

Mgr. Jana Alušíková graduated from the Faculty of Law of the Comenius University in Bratislava. She has been working for the law firm Malata, Pružinský, Hegedűš & partners since 2006 as a paralegal and since 2009 as an associate.

In her practise she focuses on representing clients in court proceedings as well as in arbitration and administration proceedings.

During her practice she has also gained significant experience in the area of corporate law including M&A and changes of legal forms of the business companies, commercial law focusing on obligation relationships, preparation of contractual documentation, banking and finance, law of trademarks as well as public procurement. She has also gained experience in the area of performance of legal audits and provision as legal services to real estate developers.

In addition to the Slovak language she provides legal services in the English language as well. She speaks basic German.

JUDr. Henrieta Čabanová

JUDr. Henrieta Čabanová graduated from the Faculty of Law of the University of Matej Bel in Banská Bystrica. After finishing her studies she worked as an associate for JUDr. Daniel Přibyl, advocate. Later on she worked as an associate for JUDr. Milan Malata, where she obtained significant experience in the area of commercial law. At present she works as an associate for JUDr. Martin Landl, advocate, who is in charge of the branch office of the Malata, Pružinský, Hegedűš & partners law firm in Lučenec. She completed her Dissertation work in commercial law in combination with economic law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Pavol Jozef Šafárik in Košice, where she was awarded her law doctorate.

In her legal practise she focuses on civil law, labour law and commercial law. In the area of commercial law she specializes in insolvency and restructuring. She has also gained significant experience in representation of clients in court proceedings and insolvency and restructuring proceedings.

Mgr. Eva Fűkőová

Mgr. Eva Fükőová graduated from the Faculty of Law of the University of Pavol Jozef Šafárik in Košice. After finishing her studies she worked as a notarial associate in the Notary office of JUDr. Janka Antalová in Rimavská Sobota. In January 2011 she became a member of the team of the Malata, Pružinský, Hegedűš & partners law firm as an Associate.

In her legal practise she focuses on civil law, labour and commercial law and on the agenda of court proceedings.

She is a part of the team of branch office of the Malata, Pružinský, Hegedűš & partners law firm in Lučenec.

She provides legal services in the Hungarian language as well.

Mgr.Veronika Hamerníková

JUDr. Adela Hegedűšová

JUDr. Adela Hegedüšová graduated from the Faculty of Law of the Charles University in Prague. After finishing her studies she worked as an associate in the law firm of JUDr. Milan Malata, where she gained significant experience in the area of commercial and civil law, in performance of due diligence as well as in insolvency and restructuring. She completed her dissertation work in Civil law focusing on trademark law at the Faculty of Law of the University of Jozef Pavol Šafárik, where she was awarded her law doctorate. On July 22, 2009 she successfully passed the bankruptcy trustee´s examination. In April 2011 she successfully passed her bar exams.

In her legal practise she focuses on commercial and civil law, preparation of contractual documentation and covers different requirements of our clients with respect to performance of their business activities. She deals with corporate law, with insolvency and restructuring, property law, trademark law and realization of due diligence.

In addition to the Slovak language she provides legal services in the German language as well.

Mgr. Zuzana Hloušková

Mgr. Zuzana Hloušková graduated from the Faculty of Law of the University of Matej Bel in Banská Bystrica. During her studies she worked as a trainee at the District Prosecution in Poprad. After finishing her studies she worked in the VERLAG DASHÖFER Publishing house at the position of a Product manager for legal literature. Her job description consisted of editorial activities, monitoring of legislative changes, communication with the authors and clients, marketing research, organizational and managing activities and publishing of e-newspapers. Later on she worked at the Commercial register of the District Court Bratislava I as a court officer, where she dealt with registering data and its changes into the commercial register, rejection of the application for registration of changes into the Commercial Register, deciding about procedural fines and performing of further acts of the court. She obtained broad experience relating to incorporation of companies and its corporate changes in connection to court practice.

Since 2010 Zuzana Hloušková is registered in the Register of associates of the Slovak Bar Association. In her practise she focuses especially on the private law and she specializes in the area of electronic communication services in one of the major telecommunication companies, to which the Malata, Pružinský, Hegedűš & partners law firm provides legal services. In this area she prepares contracts according to Commercial Code, Civil Code, contracts under the Act of Electronic Communications including general conditions of provision of electronic communication services, corporate changes and employment relationships.

Mgr. Ladislav Hrubčín


Mgr. Martin Janík

Mgr. Martin Janík graduated from the Faculty of Law of the Comenius University in Bratislava, where he passed his state exams in 2010, receiving a red diploma. During his studies he completed an internship with the Ministry of Interior of the Slovak Republic, Section of Public Administration, where he expanded the scope of his knowledge in the area of administrative law, especially in the field of legal relations with respect to association of natural and legal persons, law of administrative delicts and trade law. During his studies he worked at the Malata, Pružinský, Hegedűš & partners law firm, where he gained experience in the area of insolvency and restructuring as well as in the area of debt recovery with which he deals up to date. Since 2010 he works as an associate at the Malata, Pružinský, Hegedűš & partners law firm.

In his legal practise he focuses on private law, he specializes in insolvency, restructuring and debt recovery, including criminal proceedings. In his professional activities he specializes in dispute resolution in the area of civil law and arbitration proceeding in Slovakia. He gained experience in the area of revision and amendment of in-house regulations, including contractual agenda.

Mgr. Ingrid Kičaková

Mgr. Peter Melišek

Mgr. Peter Melišek graduated from the Faculty of Law of the Comenius University in Bratislava. During his studies he worked as a legal advisor for the Internet services provider BONET Group s.r.o., and as a statutory representative of one of the branches of the biggest Slovak youth organization DOMKA – association of salesian youth. After completing his studies at the Comenius University he worked as an associate at the Bratislava office of the law firm Schönherr Rechtsanwälte GmbH, where he gained experience in the field of corporate law (including M&A) and competition law. Peter Melišek has been registered with the Slovak Bar Association as an associate since 2009.

In his legal practise Peter focuses on private law and especially corporate law. He also gained experience in the field of due diligence, corporate employment relationships, IT and telecommunications, revision of various vertical and horizontal agreements from the perspective of competition law, corporate governance, joint ventures, and in the field of advisory to foreign investors on their entry into the Slovak market. Peter advises clients mainly from the following sectors: power engineering (alternative sources of energy), construction, non-governmental and non-profit organizations, education, electronic communications, engineering industry and pharmaceutical industry.

Mgr. Renáta Nociarová

Ing. Mgr. Tomáš Oravec

Ing. Mgr. Tomáš Oravec graduated from the Economic University in Prague and also from the Faculty of Law of the University of Matej Bel in Banská Bystrica. After his studies he worked as an assistant in the ERNST & YOUNG, k.s. consultant company in Prague. In 2010 he successfully passed his tax advisor exams and since 2011 he has been registered in the Register of Tax Advisors under the number 967/2011.

In his legal practise he focuses on commercial and economic law, he specializes in insolvency and restructuring of companies, tax and accounting issues. He gained significant experience in the area of restructuring of companies, as well as in the area of applying the clients rights in insolvency and restructuring proceedings conducted in the Slovak Republic.

In addition to the Slovak language he communicates in the English language as well.
